tommy the founding father of sugar, tommy, launched the shop back in 2000 with the aspiration to not suck. to create a cool space where you can hang out and talk about motorcycles, listen to great music and get a great service done as well. making people look good isn't his only passion, when he's not at the shop he's tinkering in his garage. email tommy |
| marie mingoia marie is never too far from her scissors, whether it be to sculpt hair or compose collages. born and raised in the city of los angeles, marie has been cutting hair for nine years while making lengthy guest appearances at calarts and the city of san francisco. she has found a home at sugar, allowing her to co-curate art shows and offer wash and wear styles all in one place. marie is also a part of the l.a. based art collective from here to there and can sometimes be caught giving five dollar haircuts at the all ages venue, the smell. email marie |
jill isaac a northern california transplant, jill moved to los angeles with a love for hair, fashion, and warm weather. she specializes in percision cuts and natural looking hair color. when she's not making you look amazing, jill is helping out her friends at this or die boutique, buying shoes, and hanging out with her super awesome dog oliver. email jill |
